Previously, pressing striking modifier buttons, such as for throwing hooks or overhands, could cause them to be interpreted as an attempt to apply a reversal to a takedown that had already started. This only occurred in cases of “late” (partial) denials, including some cases where the fighters hadn’t made contact yet. Previously, if a user held the movement input for too long (even for only one frame) after they had already pressed low block to deny a takedown, it would count as an attempt to deny a takedown turn that had not happened yet and would result in a successful takedown for their opponent. The team is working hard to investigate and address as much as possible to make sure that this is the best EA SPORTS UFC yet. We’ve seen an incredible amount of feedback and suggestions from the community about what they like and what they would like to see changed. With this patch, it has been given a significant nerf that will improve a lot of the stamina issues that players were seeing. Stamina was one of the most requested changes in terms of community feedback and the first thing that we wanted to address was a perk called “Marathoner” that was giving an unintended major boost to stamina regeneration for fighters that had that perk.
